Straight Hair, Don't Care

My mom is a licensed cosmetologist so she's kind of trained me to be kind of picky about my hair. That is one thing that really stinks about getting hair cuts, they are never good enough!

One thing she taught me though, is to have good hair tools. Since I use a flat iron every single day, I have to have one that is going to hold up to daily use. Sure, I could buy those cheap ones from Target that are $25 and then when it goes out in six months, buy another and so forth. I have really thick hair, so it's even harder to straighten my hair. So, I invest in a good one.

In the past, my favorite brand has been hot tools. I've tried a few different ones and that one held up the longest. In fact, it still heated up when I got rid of it, but I broke the handle so it was impossible to use anymore.

So, when Flat Iron Experts hopped on the scene and offered to let me try one of their flat irons, I jumped at the chance to see if it held up to my beloved Hot Tools.

They sent me this NP 405 flat iron which is one and half inches wide and heats up to 210*. I tried it on my hair right after blow drying it, specifically blow drying in different directions to see if the flat iron could fix my crazy blow drying.

Here are the results:

Overall, I'm very happy with the abilities of this flat iron! I didn't use any styling products on my hair at all (except heat protectant, which they also sent!) and my hair stayed this straight all day long.

I'm definitely impressed and think it's a great flat iron! Plus, there's free shipping and it was fast! I had my flat iron in less than a week! You can't beat that!

Disclaimer: I was compensated for this review in the form of the flat iron, but all opinions are my own.

I've been using the same $15 straightener for almost ten years but mine only gets used a few times a month. I was just telling my mom that I needed a new one.

I think your hair looked good even before you straightened it!

I always assumed that straightening my hair was the biggest pain ever. Until I invested in a quality brush, hair dryer, and flat iron. What used to take an hour now takes about 15 minutes. Yes!

I have a Solano straightener with a comb - I bought it in high school for $100 and it is LITERALLY the best investment I have EVER made. :)

I also get great curling irons for super cheap at Marshalls/TJ Maxx - just need to know the good brands!
