I think I can speak for all of us happily married ladies when I say we love our husbands.
However, as much as getting married doesn't change a relationship if you are prepared for marriage, there are some things that you learn after getting married and after almost eight months, I've definitely learned some things.
So, I bring to you:

The majority of your guy friends will flat out disappear. Unless you have that guy friend that is like a brother that you've known since you were in diapers or the awesome gay guy friend, you can almost guarantee the others will slowly float away. The exception to this is your husband's friends. Just be sure they know their boundaries because they are not number one in your husband's life anymore but they may forget that!

He will get messier, as if that was possible. Before we got married, Cody was messy but it definitely increased after we got married, even though we had lived together before.

Numero Tres
So, it may have taken awhile to get your guy to warm up to marriage, and you can only imagine how long it will take him to warm up the idea of kids. Nope, it seems like once he's ready for one, he's basically ready for the other (of course, there are some reservations that remain). Go big or go home, baby!

I've been married for 8 months which means I can obsessively post wedding pics for another 4 without seeming crazy.
I'm milking it, okay? |
Numero Cuatro
Your single girlfriends will suddenly seem grouped up and you may get left out more often than not. Of course, there are a lot of reasons for this. For one, you don't really want to go out all the time. And for two, like hangs out with like, so find yourself some married friends, girl!

This one may be single, but she can handle all my marriage stories.
Because she rocks. |
Numero Cinco
You may have never imagined that the perfect night would involve cooking dinner together in pajamas with a glass of wine and a movie, but guess what? That sounds magical.

Sit back for a minute. Seriously, don't press the back button! I have some awesome bloggers for you to meet!
Chelsea is a new blogger friend from The Big, Beautiful and Broke blog. She's a nursing student that just graduated with her BSN and will be going for her master's starting in January. I'm so excited for her!
She writes some really great posts about nursing and the emotions that nurse can go through. I think it's a great post to read!
She also does some beauty stuff on her blog in the form of a reveal post for her glam bag and birchbox. You should definitely go check out her december boxes to see what you think!
It gets better though because she also cooks! You should check out this sesame chicken recipe! It looks delicious! You should also go comment if you try it!
Kelsey
Kelsey from Stories of Kel is a new blogging friend but she is quickly turning out to be a great one! I love chatting with this girl on twitter. Plus, she has some excellent skin advice so I bug her with questions. Sorry Kel!
In November, she blasted out some of our favorite things to hate: captchas and follow 4 follow bloggers but also talked about the things she loves about blogging.
She also recapped her entire 2012 year. It seems like she had a whirlwind year with wedding planning before her health starting to decline. She still got married though and she was a gorgeous bride!
So, you should check out this girl's blog and don't forget to tell her I sent you!
Is there anything else that marriage taught you?

Have you met this amazing blogger?

How did I not know your hubby was a soldier! Mine is too!!! :-)
totally agree on number 4 - however i am not married but this happens when you are in a long term relationship with babies!
haha you can get away with wedding pictures no matter how long you've been married--you just have to wait for anniversaries to post 'em ;)
I agree with you on ALL 5 things. And thanks for the awesome shout-out! :)
I also agree with you on all five of these. Especially number two, I didn't think it was possible for my hubs to get messier but it seemed like overnight, WHAM there it was.
This is so true! I've been struggling lately with the fact that I don't get to spend as much time as I would like with my single girlfriends. And every night is perfect when you get to stay in pjs all night on the couch! We just get takeout though to avoid the mess of cooking ;)
agree agree agree! Oh and thanks for the shoutout :) What a fun surprise to see at the end of the post :)
Number 2 I whole heartedly agree with! I didn't think my husband was super messy before we got married but now I feel myself thinking "when did he get so messy?"
