Harry Potter!

If you guys had known me when I was younger, you would know that I am a Harry Potter freak. Seriously, not only did I read all of the books, watch all of the movies, read the HP Lexicon religiously...I also read and wrote Harry Potter Fanfiction.
See? I told you I was a nerd.  So when Ashley from Simply, Ashley came up with this link up, I was completely on board!
1)Your favorite of the 7 books
I would have to say that the third and the fifth books are my favorite most because those are the ones that Sirius is in. I also like the seventh book, although I read it so fast when I first got it, that I forgot alot of it and had to reread it (as if that bothered me!)
2)Your favorite of the films?
I like the fifth movie, the sixth movie and both seventh movies the best. I feel like they were darker but they also stayed more true to the lessons that the characters learned than the previous movies. I did miss the quidditch scenes though.
3)Which, if any, of the films made you angry for not staying true to the book?
I'm just going to say that I didn't like the first three movies very much. There are various reasons
4)Your least favorite female character and why?
Gah my least favorite female character? Easy! Ginny! I can't stand her! All she does is stare wide eyed at Harry and then she's all whiny all the time and always in danger and it's just annoying!
5)Your favorite male character and why?
I would love to say Draco here because I love the idea of "what if Harry had shaken his hand?" I feel like he would have grown up and the whole story would have been alot different. I think he had redeeming qualities and Harry would have brought them out in him. But, since that wasn't the case, I'm just going to be generic and say Harry because uh...he's Harry. Also, Sirius was pretty awesome. He was the only one not trying to keep Harry in the dark.
6)What house would you LIKE to be in? now be realisticwhich would The Sorting Hat put you in?
I'd be in Slytherin. That doesn't mean I'm evil! I'm just very ambitious and think before acting so that's why.
7)Which subject would be your favorite at Hogwarts?
Defense Against the Dark Arts, if they would have had a decent teacher!

Now for some awesome pictures from the 7th book premiere!  (Because I just really need a reason to post these!)

A guy was there and knew how to draw the dark mark, so we all got them on our arms!

They had these 7 tattoos, obviously all of us girls had to put Harry close to our hearts!

They gave us glow in the dark Harry Potter glasses. I may still have them somewhere. I wore pajamas because everyone talked me out of going as a Hogwarts student.

You just keep getting more and more awesome! Leo hasn't read all of the books, so he just doesn't get it when we're watching one of the movies and I yell at the tv for the storyline being messed up. Whoops

Oh you would have LOVED the Harry Potter party that I went to a couple of weeks ago - it was so fun! http://sweetmamam.wordpress.com/2012/09/24/creating-magic-a-truly-magical-harry-potter-party/

I love Harry Potter! Thanks for posting about this link up. I started something new on my blog every Monday called Ornaments for Adoption, but I think I will definitely be posting twice today so that I can share my love of HP!

OMG, totally love HP too. I loved going to the book releases, and then I would stay up all night reading the book until I finished (for book 5 it took me over 24 hours to finish...and I stayed up that whole time). I'm definitely joining this linkup ASAP. PS, book 3 is my favorite and I love Draco (like, I used to have a fan site dedicated to him haha).

Oh, and I'm totally in Slytherin too. I agree, you don't have to be evil!

I read all the books and saw all the movies. Harry will always have a special place in my heart. My son read the first book is on to the second.... I'm an awesome mom like that :)

I went to the midnight release of the 7th book... and like you, I read it so fast that I had to do a reread because I forgot a ton of stuff that happened!!!!

My daughter loved Harry Potter, but didn't get on the Harry Potter bandwagon until after the 2nd book came out. We own all the movies and enjoy them all.

Found your site from MNB. Am now following you on twitter, facebook and your blog!

What a fun spin on the regular questions! Thanks for linking up today:-) My husband is the Harry Potter fan in our house but he stops at the books and movies. Our son is just starting to read them. I suppose I should read them with him.

What a fun link-up! I remember I read the first book when I was 10 and I was so hoping I'd get a letter from Hogwarts when I turned 11. I was *pretty sure* I was a witch but I didn't know if Americans got to go to wizarding school LOL.

I have this rule that I won't see a movie until I read the book. So far, I have only seen the first movie. I need to get back on the bandwagon and read the others!
So happy to see you on the Med Monday grid again this month! Thanks for linking up with us!

Glad to know I'm not the only one who read (and re-read) all the books. And FanFiction. And designed magical characters to be played out on HP messageboards. Nerd alert.

If you're ever near London, check out the HP set tour. I had the chance this past May and it was amaaaaazing. :)

I love Harry Potter! I tried writing some fic but writing never came easy for me. I'd write half a chapter and then call it quits because I hated it, lol. But I love reading fic. I still read HP fic occasionally.

And I totally agree on Ginny. In fact my post complains about the exact same thing as yours does regarding her! I love Draco and play the 'what if harry had taken his hand?!' game all the time. ;)
