August Hits & Misses

If you weren't around last month, then this is a post that I'm doing that will basically outline my hits and misses for the month...or my loves and my hates!

This is a little bit late this month, but blame schools starting!

Some of these posts will be longer than others and I'm still trying to get into the practice of making little notes in my head of the things I loved and hated over the month.

Let's start with the Misses:

Okay, this is a shampoo that I've used off and on for years because I get a very dry scalp and it itches (I use the dry scalp formula)

Here lately, I've realized a bunch of things about this shampoo.
1. Its hard to rinse out. Like, so hard that I run out of hot water.
2. It leaves a residue. And this residue is nasty and you can see it.
3. It makes it harder to brush my hair while wet. Basically, it turns my hair into a rat's nest and it hurts to brush it so then I don't.
4. It takes forever to blow dry. I can only guess that this is due to the residue left on my hair.

So, I'm never buying this again. I've switched to the new Clear Therapy shampoo and I'll let you know how I like it!

(2)
I'm already so stressed with school. If you have seen any of my twitter posts, then you already know. I barely have time to eat, shower and sleep, let alone blog. So forgive me!

(3)
Annual Training.
Cody went to training for two weeks.
and everything suddenly needed his attention.
It was ridiculous.

(4)
Toxic Friends
Or not even really toxic friends,
but just anyone that doesn't care about you as much as you care about them.
Quite frankly, I'm sick of being treated like crap.
I'm starting to realize there are very few people that you can count on to be there through thick and thin

(5)
Being sick the second week of school.
Seriously, I missed one class on Wednesday and feel like I'm two weeks behind
The classes I went to...yeah I may as well have not even been there for how much I retained.

Now onto the Hits:

(1)
My bracelet that I won from a giveaway over at Hayley's World from HelloZee
This bracelet is awesome! I love the colors (it's the peacock bracelet)
and she customized the size for me
AND
she sent two rings to extend the bracelet if I needed to!

(2)
Seeing Cody at the end of AT.
Spending time with him after not seeing him for two weeks was just what I needed after a stressful first week of school!

Buffy the Vampire Slayer marathons on Chiller. This was the perfect thing to get my stress level down last Thursday on my day off from classes. I still did homework for a lot of the day and worked on blog stuff, but everything just seems better with the apocalypse going on in the background.

Happy mail days!

This shirt! I love it!
sorry the pic is kind of blurry!

I've also got to introduce you to two lovely ladies...right about now!
Although you should already know them because they are both amazeballs.

The first one is this absolutely gorgeous girl named Jessica!
I love the name of her blog, Jessica Who? because it's related to the fact that all Jessica's are always asked "Jessica Who?" when they get introduced to someone.

Personally, I know at least five Jessica's, probably more, so in our group of friends, we always referred to them by their last names to avoid confusion.

But anyway, she's just the sweetest girl ever!

Plus, she also has a sexy soldier in her life, which is something that we can bond over. Although, we don't live in Hawaii so we can't take amazing underwater photography. (Come on, Cody, just get stationed in Hawaii! Hah!)

Their love story is just beautiful and I love that even though they knew each other for a long time, they got married shortly after getting together. It didn't take me and Cody long to decide that we were the one for each other so I always love to see other couples that felt the same. That type of love is just truly beautiful in a special way.

To top it all off, she also has an adorable dog and if you've been around here long enough, you know exactly how much I want a dog.

So go say hi and be just as jealous of her as I am for her amazing underwater pictures and her dog. Don't forget to tell her I sent you!

Another lady I want you to meet is Kodi over at Leaving My Mark.

So this girl automatically gets awesome points because she has the same name as Cody, even though they spell it differently! She was actually one of the first blogs I started following when I started blogging!

So, I'm going to make it easy for you to get to know this gorgeous girl, by letting her tell you 14 Random Facts about her and a few of them are things I do, so you get bonus points if you recognize those!

You can also get to know her a little bit more by reading her blogstar post, which is one of the posts I read when I first met her (but not the one I'm linking to, an old one! You get the new and improved version!)

Head on over and tell her I sent you!

OMG I love that shirt!!! I went through the same toxic friend thing earlier this year. It was hard (and sad) but I had to distance myself. And honestly it's the best thing I ever did. I'm so much happier! I hope school starts getting a little less stressful for you!

PS I loveeeee my planner!

Hey!!! That shirt is ADORBS. Where from??? I use Head & Shoulders on & off b/c I also get dry scalp and it itches... but I haven't used the classic clean, I'm not even sure which type I use but I haven't had the issues you had!!! I actually was just thinking about trying that Clear or whatever shampoo that Heidi Klum has been uhh... selling {i have no idea how to spell "hauking"???} but haven't had a chance to. I look forward to hearing if you like it or not!!! Toxic friends SUCK!!!! I have learned, in my old age, that it's not the quantity of friends, it's the quality. :) What in the world did you get in the mail, girl? awesome!!!!
