Yep! It's honestly becoming one of my favorite tools to use for school!
Now, I don't mean that you should do your homework from twitter or anything like that.
What I do mean is that it's great for NCLEX review!
There are some great twitter accounts out there that constantly tweet nursing advice and NCLEX review answers and facts all based from when they took the NCLEX.
Here are a few of my favorite twitters for NCLEX Review!
I've found that it really helps to reinforce information by having it in a place that it's unexpected, like a social media site! There are so many times that I've seen tweets from these two accounts and thought "Oh! I knew that!" or "Oh, now that makes sense!"
Go follow them!
This one is great because if you have a question they will answer it! I've asked them so many questions!
Here's a great one for nursing advice!
She is really great at explaining concepts and other things in a simple standpoint that's easy to understand! One of my recent favorites is a little series she posted about terms you'll hear in your career. It was more "slang for nurses" than teaching and it was very entertaining to have those tweets on my twitter feed!
And for those late nights of studying when you just need a laugh/someone to complain about nursing school with:
And now, we're going to take it to Rae, for some words about some great nursing apps!
I’m all about some IPhone technology to help me study when I
find some spare time. So a few of my favorite apps under $5:
LWW Taylor’s Fundamentals of Nursing. It actually goes along
with the text book Fundamentals of Nursing and it is a great aid for Nursing
101 students and for me it’s great for review of the basics.
Med Surg I and Med Surg II. These are great helps for me
right now. Everything is separated by body systems and functions with some
great review questions. There are about 90 to 100 questions per topic.
Pocket Lab values. This is my favorite it’s so great and
easy to get a quick reference for your different lab values. It gives you a
brief description of that particular value with its norms. It also tells you
what conditions it is increased in and what conditions it is decreased in. I’m all about working smart not hard.

Have you met this amazing blogger?

My bestest real life friend is a nurse! I bet she wishes she had all this stuff when we were in school. haha oh the memories of her constantly taking my blood pressure...
I definitely need to download that lab values app! My favorite nursing app I've found so far is Epocrates. My pharm teacher told us about it. It has a ton of drug information and updates/news from the drug companies and you can even put in a description of the pill if you don't know what it's called and it will ID it for you!
